Making A Difference, One Child At A Time

Testimonials

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter as a former member of Infinity Cheer Empire. Unfortunately, due to military orders, we moved out of the area. Although we are no longer team members, I would like to express my feelings about this exceptional program.

Infinity Cheer Empire is not only a competition cheerleading team, but also a family. The owner of ICE, Julia Scribner, cares for each of these girls and boys as though they are her own. She takes the time to find special talents and strengths in each child. Julia encourages them to push themselves to reach their highest potential and achieve things they think are impossible. She goes above and beyond to ensure these girls and boys are molded into well-rounded individuals with a bright future.

The mission of ICE is to not only teach cheer and tumbling skills, but also highly beneficial life skills. The older girls and boys are taught leadership skills and become wonderful mentors to the younger ones in the group. They also learn to balance extracurricular activities while maintaining good academic standing in school. They must also learn to demonstrate responsibility in regards to obligations to their team.

The girls and boys spend many hours a week training during competition season. These long hours, in addition to school work, make fundraising difficult. I encourage you to consider helping these girls and boys to continue their participation in this extraordinary program. The mission of ICE is not about bringing home trophies, but about instilling values in these girls and boys that help them to realize their dreams and know that with hard work and dedication, they will succeed.

Sincerely,
Rachael Stout

“Family… That is how I would describe Infinity Cheer Empire. ICE is more than just cheerleading. It’s about preparing your child to be successful in life. You learn how to win or lose with grace and dignity. You learn what being a part of a team means. You make friends that become family.

It is a great experience not just for the kids but for parents as well. The coaches are fantastic! They truly care for the well-being of your child. Your child will be pushed to what they think are their limits, only to find they can do so much more. The coaches are always in their corner. They are knowledgeable and well-trained. ICE is truly one of the little known gems in Lee County!”

“This gym is amazing! My daughter came into the cheer program quiet and shy. She has grown so much in her 4 years in this program! The coaches are amazing! They are always there for her and our family. My daughter is still on the quiet side sometimes, but the coaches are helping her learn to advocate for herself and the team. The coaches do a great job at balance having fun with hard work.”

“I can't say how thankful I am that we found Sanford Academy! This has been my daughter's second home and family for over seven years. I've watched her grow from being timid and scared to a brave competitive athlete. She has not only learned what it takes to work for her goals but has been able to take those lessons out of the gym and apply them in her daily life.

The coaches and the rest of the staff are amazing and so knowledgeable! They care about the gymnast as a whole and do what they can to support not only their gymnastics career, but also their physical, emotional and mental well-being. Being able to fully trust a coach with your daughter is a must in this day and age. I know 100% my daughter is in the best hands at Sanford Academy.

My daughter and I have made life long friendships here. It has been a pleasure and an honor to watch the team gymnasts and coaches show Region 8 what a small town gym can accomplish!”

“My daughter started gymnastics at Sanford Academy at 6 years old in the recreation class. She then went to team evaluations and joined the silver team. She is now, 3 years later, on the gold team; and we are constantly amazed at how far she has come. The coaches are amazing, and lovingly push the girls to do their best. They are always contentious about form to prevent injury. The environment is very friendly, welcoming, and always kept clean. We feel like family at Sanford Academy.”

“Sanford Academy is THE place to be! My daughter started her gymnastics career as a little 4 year old in the recreational program. 10 years later, now a Platinum level gymnast, Sanford Academy is still her home away home! I ask her every year if she still wants to continue the next season, and she looks at me like I am crazy for even asking! We absolutely love everyone at this gym - the owners, the office staff, and most of all, the coaches! I have never even thought about going to any other gym because everyone there treats us like family and honestly loves my daughter and treats her like she is their own. The program is sensational, always learning, training, and growing, and they always have the athletes health and safety as the number one priority. Especially in these crazy times, the gym has taken every precaution to ensure everyone's safety and well being. It will be a sad day for me when she goes to college and hangs up her grips at Sanford Academy. We absolutely love it here and thankfully found this HOME so many years ago! #SanfordStrong”

“Our family cannot say enough about the ‘whole person’ development our Athlete, Katelyn has received in her (now) fifth season with Infinity Cheer Empire (ICE) Sanford. We say ‘whole person’ because becoming a better cheerleader is but a small fraction of the growth we have observed at ICE over the years.

Athletically: Beginning at age six (6) with low level one (1) tumbling skills, we have watched the Coaches at ICE teach, support and push Katelyn out of her comfort zone. In driving technique, safety and self-confidence we now observe a 10-year-old girl with a level four (4) skillset

Accountability: Positions are earned, not given! It takes true commitment to the sport (not just at practice) to improve/succeed. Parents can only push so hard – Katelyn has learned that in order to help her team she must hold herself to a high standard in and out of the gym to improving. This ‘team first’ accountability is a stable of the program

Confidence: In our opinion, the greatest developmental trait from sports is the personal understanding of the hard work and dedication necessary to be great at something. We have seen smiles, laughs, tears and failure; but through this adversity we have watched a pre-teen bloom into a self-aware and strong willed athlete/human being. She has learned to trust herself, her ability and most importantly her teammates

In closing, if your sole motivation is the ‘National stage’ this may not be the gym for you. But if you are seeking development in the sport and outside the gym walls; I strongly recommend this gym to anyone attracted to a ‘tight niche’ family environment where ‘whole person’ development is the focus.”
